Karin's Kids Clothes
Check out my e-store. I haven't advertised it anywhere yet, but I have an internet group where all sorts of moms sell kids clothes. I'll add inventory as the garage sale season continues.

G Diapers
I just found out about these and I have to admit, the thought intrigues me. I have always felt guilty about using disposable diapers.

Today Was A Good Day
I started off the day at 7:00am at the computer chatting online to Shauna and Lianne at the same time. It was a lot of fun and we "talked" for 2 1/2 hours. It was really neat, because I could picture what Lianne looked like in real time typing away. In typical Stites sister fashion we made several jokes and comments that make me chuckle even as I type.
When I got off of the computer we all got ready and decided to have a picnic lunch at the Lake Park in Loveland. We got some Subway sandwiches (I'm trying to be at least a bit healthy) and headed over to the park. Laina and Ethan had a great time getting dirty and playing on everything. We brought some bread and burnt popcorn to feed the geese. They were not too interested in eating, but we did see several carp surfacing to eat what we'd thrown out.
Then we went to Walmart to get groceries and other household stuff. We even got Paul's birthday present and some treats for Laina. Finally, we made it home and I have been updating my blog and reading emails.
Thank you Jesus for the fun we've had.

Pastor Tom Has Left the Building
I have been trying to gather my thoughts for two days before writing this, and I still don't know how to say it. Pastor Tom and Suzanne (the music pastors at Rez) have resigned. They said it was the hardest thing they have ever done in their life, but for the last year they have just been struggling with giving their whole hearts to the ministry. Finally, after continually seeking God, they have decided that He has something else for their future.
Undoubtedly, everyone who has heard Pastor Tom sing and play will miss his tremendous musical gifts, but I will also miss the man. I will miss his humor, his heart for God, his love for people and his leadership. He will possess those qualities wherever he ends up, but I will not get to see them as intimately as I did being in his presence almost every Thursday night for choir practice for over 7 years.
The Lord has reminded me that Pastor Tom's abilities and anointing come from Him, and He can give those giftings to the new music pastor as well. I have to wonder now if in my flesh I was unknowingly worshipping the worship leader rather than He Who is Worthy of Praise. Certainly I held him above any other worship minister in the world. And as Pastor John said this weekend, "It is not about a man. It is about Jesus, and we should keep our eyes focused on Him."

Easter Weekend
We had a really nice turnout to our Easter productions. The sanctuary was full for every performance but the Sunday, 8:30 service which was still 3/4 full. The long time spent at church during the weekend was easier on us all than I thought it would be. The Easter bunny visited our house one day early so we had more time to hunt Easter eggs. Laurin was able to work in the same baby room as Ethan for 3 of the services and Laina got to enjoy a candy hunt and bouncing castle 4 times. Paul ended up taking the kids home with him on Saturday night (probably the first time in his life he had all three of them at once without me), so they didn't have to attend all 5 services. I wished that they could have sold dvds of the program, but due to copyrights they can't. Hope you all had a great Easter weekend celebrating the resurrection of our Lord.

Today's Verse
For God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us....
(No picture at the moment. I took the batteries out to charge them and then accidentally dropped my camera in a coffee pot of water. Crossing my fingers that a quick dip didn't ruin it)

Garage Sale Booty
We went to our first garage sale of the season on Friday. We got some good deals: about 10 kid's books including the Stinky Cheese Man, a Bill Peet book, 2 Curious George books and a Little Monster book; a rolling backpack for Laina; a cd player/radio for Laina (bought with her allowance money); a tu-tu, headband and Gymboree sweater; and a Tetris game for mommy. Good thing that I have been regularly purging on Freecycle.
