I'm melting.....

I have to admit that I am a bit saddened by all the melting snow. Okay, maybe not all the melting snow, just our sledding hill. Who knows if we'll ever get that much snow at once again.

Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone

Since I lived in the apartment in Loveland I have thought that it would be nice to be able to display words from scripture for all to see. Last week during prayer, I felt led to finally do so. I went out and bought a dry erase board and Laurin and I have decided to put a different scripture on it every day and put it in Laina's window where it is visible from the street and sidewalk. (we were going to put it outside, but we figured it would surely be stolen). Believe me, this is not something I would normally do, but I feel that the Lord wants me to proclaim Him boldly.

Cold and Flu Season

We are getting over a mild cold here at the Sutton household. I feel a bit crummy and everyone has a runny nose. But most of all I am exhausted. For two days in a row I have fallen asleep on the chair while the little ones napped. I have been trying to post some video on here for the past 3 days and I can never get everything to work. Yesterday it was Google, today it is Blogger. Oh the pains of the electronic age. I'll add a picture to liven the page up. I call it The Devil Likes Raviolli ha ha. Nice red eye.

Babylon

I was doing my homework for our bible study on Daniel and we were to draw comparisons between the Babylon of Daniel's day to the Revelation Babylon. I was nauseated the whole time thinking about how similar our culture is to both Babylons. I was even more sick to think of how I partake in those qualitites which make Babylon so despicable. I find it interesting that the devil is said to dwell in Babylon, whose primary sin seemed to be overindulgence and indifference to the poor rather than a place like Sodom where sexual sin of every nature dwelled. I guess that in my carnal mind, I judge sexual sin more harshly than selfishness and greed. I guess the first step to repentance is to first realize that you have sinned. I definitely don't want to be a "daughter of Babylon", so I better acknowledge how Babylon has rubbed off on me.
