Something Smells

I was surprised Friday when I went to pick up Laina from school and was 402 was being blocked by police cars and fire engines just down the block. I soon figured out what the problem was when I was about choked by the smell of natural gas. We could smell natural gas very strongly only a block north of us, but we were considered safe where we were. I was very worried when I found out that Paul was on the scene in the ambulance, especially when he told me that they were going to weld a cap on the gas line. Welding near natural gas just doesn't seem like a good thing to me, but everything went okay with the repairs and Paul came home in one piece.
